In the area of Almopia, 13 km northwest of Aridaia in the Pella regional unit, lie the Pozar Baths, built on the banks of a hot river at the foot of Mount Kaimaktsalan, near the Greek-North Macedonian border.
Here, warm therapeutic waters with a constant temperature of 37°C have been flowing continuously for thousands of years. The mountain creates a captivating natural environment, where in winter the hot springs form misty columns above the water, amidst rich vegetation.
For this reason, the Pozar Baths attract visitors from all over Greece and abroad, seeking both the beneficial and relaxing properties of the waters and the opportunity to safely explore the surrounding caves and mountains.
