Palaios Panteleimonas, a protected settlement of the European Union, is located on the slopes of Lower Olympus at an altitude of 700 meters, offering a wonderful panoramic view of the Thermaic Gulf and the coasts of Southern Pieria.
Founded in the 14th century and restored in the 1970s, the settlement is characterized as traditional and is an excellent example of Macedonian architecture. The stone-built mansions, the winding alleys, and the rich vegetation create a captivating visual whole.
Its unique architectural character, combined with easy access from the Athens-Thessaloniki national road and the nearby tourist resorts, have turned it into a popular destination for visitors and travelers to the area.
