Located at the northern border of Pella and a top destination for snow lovers, Mount Voras, also known as Kaimaktsalan, rises to 2,524 meters, making it the third-highest mountain in Greece. At its peak, the Ski Center offers an impressive panoramic view of the Thermaic Gulf and the mythical Mount Olympus, especially on clear days.
Its location, just 35 kilometers from Edessa, makes it accessible not only for residents of the surrounding areas but also for those seeking a rich trip combining skiing with a range of other activities. In the wider area, visitors can discover the picturesque Agios Athanasios - a Byzantine village from the 16th century at the foot of the mountain, the therapeutic Pozar Baths, as well as facilities for horseback riding, climbing, mountain biking, rafting, and kayaking.
The name "Kaimaktsalan," which translates to "land as soft as cream," is absolutely justified: avid skiers find endless slopes and excellent snow quality here, promising unforgettable moments on the mountain.
